There is an ancient proverb that states: “She who calls a wolf invites the pack.” In the wild, a lone wolf is vulnerable. But when she calls, she doesn't just ask for help; she commits the collective. In our arena of Executive Leadership and High-Tech Sales, when you "call a wolf"—when you ask for a leader’s support, a peer’s insight, or a technical expert’s time—you are inviting the Pack Mentality.
Noblesse Oblige: The Noble Obligation
Leading your pack is a privilege, but it carries a heavy tax. You owe it to the Pack to be Audible Ready. Do not call for backup if you haven't identified the Economic Buyer. Do not drag the Pack into a "Hopecast." Bring them into a Scripted Play.
The Wednesday Directive:
Protect the Line: Like a QB relying on his blockers, keep your teammates close. Share the "lessons learned" of your wins and losses so the collective IQ grows.
The Hunt: We don’t just hunt alone. We hunt as a unit. If one of us is knocked down, the pack circles the wagons. If one of us finds the "Big Rock" pain, we all feast.
The Standard: The deep water is getting colder. Swim together. Win together. Lose Together. Train together. WIN.
